Nathalie is a founder and co-managing partner of Godbout Fawcett. She is fluently bilingual and serves the firm’s clients in both official languages. She has been practicing law for 23 years, and has extensive experience in litigation, negotiation and advocacy in the areas of insurance and professional liability.

Nathalie attended St. Thomas University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts, and was the recipient of the President’s Scholarship. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of New Brunswick in 1994.

Nathalie’s experience includes malpractice defense work, providing valuable legal advice to executives and professionals including physicians, lawyers, engineers, accountants, and others in the service professions.

In 2016, Nathalie was recognized by the YWCA as a Woman of Distinction, recognizing her outstanding professional accomplishments as well as her tireless efforts to raise up other women and forge a path for gender-based equity through work, volunteerism and mentoring.

Also in 2016, Nathalie was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) – a reflection of the highest standards of the legal profession.

Nathalie is a frequent lecturer for the Canadian Bar Association, and the New Brunswick Law Society, including its Bar Admission program. She sits on the Ethics Committee of the New Brunswick Law Society, and is a member of the Board of Emera New Brunswick. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of Assumption Life and the Board of Governors of St. Thomas University.  She is also Chair of the Mental Health Tribunal for southern New Brunswick, and former Vice-Chair of the New Brunswick Health Council.
